VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION: I understand and confirm that my participation in programming and events hosted by Renewing Communities, volunteer and/or vendors in connection with the event is voluntary.
MEDIA RELEASE: I give Renewing Communities and its agents permission to publish in print and digital images/videos of my child(ren) or myself. When images are published, the organization will take cautionary steps to provide minimum identifying information.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK: I assume all risks, known and unknown, foreseeable, and unforeseeable, in any way connected with participation in Renewing Communities programming or events. I accept personal responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, or damage in any way connected with participation.
RELEASE AND WAIVER: I fully and knowingly release Renewing Communities and its Representatives volunteer and/or vendor, from all liability and waive all claims, for injury, loss, or damage, including attorneys' fees, in any way connected with participation with programming hosted by Renewing Communities.
Renewing Communities Program Behavior Policy
Renewing Communities is committed to providing a safe and positive environment for all program participants. Participants should conduct themselves in a manner that will promote an atmosphere that nurtures feelings of respect, safety, and belonging.
Obtaining and maintaining desirable behavior from our participants is a shared responsibility between participants, children, parent/guardians, RC staff, and partners.
Please review the following general rules and disciplinary consequences that will guide the program.
The following is expected of each participant whether they are in the community, on RC sponsored transportation, or on an offsite field trip.
General Rules
Do’s
Always show respect to teachers/coaches and fellow participants and always use respectful language when addressing staff and students.
Be encouraging and courteous towards others.
Follow instructions set forth by coaches for each activity.
Show respect for the community, property, and equipment.
Comply with all other regulations set forth by teachers, coaches, and community ambassadors.
Accept every person in the group as an individual and understand that while their beliefs may be different from your own that everyone deserves to be respected and treated equally. We are promoting tolerance and acceptance.
Don'ts
Use inappropriate language, disrespectful language, or "put downs.”
Exhibit Blatant/Excessive Defiance or Disrespect - includes non-compliance, insubordination.
Exhibit ANY behavior that may jeopardize the health - (physical or emotional) and safety of others.
Display disruptive behavior, including fighting, or violence of any kind.
Bring drugs/ paraphernalia or weapons of any kind into any class setting or field trip.
Participants who choose to continuously cause disruption, are non-compliant, disrespectful, or cause harm to others will be subject to removal from the program.
Administrative Removal - is defined as removing a person from the program for the duration of the program.
RC reserves the right to remove persons from any program when its Community Ambassador or designee determines, in his/her sole discretion, that it would be in the best interest of the program, and/or the participants.
